Badges of Encouragement

Simon Says Stamp with Simon Say Stamp Stamps or Simon Exclusives. I combined stamps from two Kelly Purkey Simon Exclusives (F Bomb and Like A Boss) to make Badges of Encouragement.

For a friend who's fighting cancer, I added "cancer" with a Sharpie. The "like a boss" sentiment has an asterisk before it, but I just wiped that clean after I inked it. The other is for a friend studying for her big nursing test. It'll go on the outside of her gift bag. Safety pins will be attached to the back. The rosette is made with the Tim Holtz Rosette die.

I used CTMH's Petal Ink and Memento Tuxedo Ink.

I think this is the easiest, most secure paper pin back I've done yet. Mark the high parts of the pin back on the cardstock and use a hole punch. Put the pinback through the holes. Apply Glossy Accents to the pinback and the cardstock press down firmly, burnishing right up to the pinback edges.

The Sky's the Limit

Avery Elle I [heart] u is having a clean and simple challenge. And I have one small AE stamp set (party animal).  So I used it : ). It's stamped on a scrap of patterned paper and covered in Glossy Accents. A piece of handspun silk embroidery thread (2-ply) is tied on it but otherwise not attached.

Happy Birthday Human

I had to make a replacement get well card for the woman who broke her arm while doing housework (I always suspected it was a hazardous activity) , and it was her birthday... so while I had the Stampin' Up Lots of Bots stamp set out, I figured I'd make her a birthday card also.

CASology's cue card this week is Three. So 3 bots it is : ).  They are stamped with Memento Paris Dusk. Memento Dual Marker Summer Sky adds some shadow and depth and Lady Bug adds some bright spots. Silver Stickles was used for the balloons.

Here is the co-coordinating get well card. I really love this stamp set : D.

Sending Olive Ewes

CASology week 112, the cue word is three. The sheep stamp is one I bought at a spinning guild auction a few years ago, and it is old, probably going back to the early 90's. There is no identification on it at all, but it still works. I colored the sheep in with Spectrum Noir DG4. The sentiment is written with a Sharpie. I used Spectrum Noir CG1 for the grass.

I used a Versamark marker over the sentiment and the sheep and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. A Ewe-full card suitaaable for anyone who knows what ewes are, especially olive ones : D.
